Thorns and needles, mesquites and pines. Torin Franklin's original country music is as Texas as the trees.
After retiring his country folk project,
Torin found himself drawn to outlaw country while finally reigning in his raucous youth. Prior focus on acoustic string music has given way to the full country sound with homage paid to Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings and Townes Van Zandt.
"Tired of your life that's nice and sterile? There's plenty of room down at the bottom of the barrel." Single 'For the Birds' is a dancehall spin-your-girl cautionary tale of excess with a joyful rhythm that makes it so good to be so bad.

'For the Birds' features Austin music all-stars Chase Risinger (Pendulum Hearts) on lead guitar, Zack Wiggs (Brody Price) on pedal steel, Ian Stewart (Ian Stewart and Asleep at the Wheel) on fiddle, JD Brunson (Friday Boys and Team Trust) on upright bass and Vinnie Ambrosone (Django Walker) on drums.
